Trailer Modifications in Ingleburn
Does your trailer need to carry different equipment, provide more useful storage or work with a changed setup? ASB Trailers considers practical trailer modifications at our Ingleburn workshop, including mounts, racks, supports and suitable changes to existing fabricated components. You can enquire about one small addition or several related changes.
As a trailer manufacturer and licensed fabricator, we can review what you want to achieve and whether the work suits the existing trailer and our workshop capabilities. Send photos of its current layout, approximate dimensions and details of what you want to add or change. We work with trade, business and private customers across South-West Sydney who can bring their trailer to the workshop.
Changes worth discussing
- Adding or changing toolbox mounts.
- Fabricating generator, compressor or battery mounting arrangements.
- Adding suitable racks and support frames.
- Making spare-wheel mounts or equipment mounting plates.
- Adding or relocating tie-down mounting points, subject to assessment.
- Modifying suitable internal framing or equipment layouts.
- Replacing an old floor as part of an agreed trailer update.
- Suitable fold-out bed additions and related framing.
Make the existing layout work for the new job
Explain how you use the trailer now and what is getting in the way. A toolbox may need a different position, new equipment may not match the existing mounts, or a rack may need changing to suit what you carry.
Photos should show doors, ramps, storage, fixing points and the space around the proposed work. A sketch can help show the arrangement you want. We may need the trailer and equipment at the workshop to inspect, measure or check fit.
Check the trailer before changing it
The trailer’s condition and existing setup affect what is practical. If an area is damaged or worn, repair or replacement may need to be considered as part of the work.
Adding supports or changing equipment mounts does not establish a higher carrying capacity. We do not offer engineering certification through this service. Any proposal needing engineering advice or approval must have that addressed separately before the work is agreed.
If your main concern is damage, see Trailer Repairs and include the repair details in your enquiry.
From your idea to an agreed scope

Include the equipment to be fitted, its size and weight if known, and your required timeframe.
We assess suitability and discuss any workshop inspection needed.
We agree the proposed work, pricing approach and booking where the job is suitable.
Cost depends on materials, fabrication, access, fitting and any changes needed to the existing trailer. Timing depends on the scope and current workshop workload.

Frequently asked questions
Can you add toolbox or equipment mounts?
Suitable mounts can be considered. Send photos of the trailer and the item, including its dimensions, approximate weight and preferred position.
Can you replace an old trailer floor?
Floor replacement can be considered as part of suitable trailer work. Inspection may be needed to understand the floor and supporting frame condition.
Can you modify the inside of an enclosed trailer?
Suitable internal framing, mounts, storage changes and layout work can be assessed. Show us the current interior and explain the intended use.
Can you repair damage at the same time?
Suitable repair work can be assessed alongside the proposed modifications. Include photos of the damage so both parts of the job can be considered.
